CIT is the main computing and ICT training, research and consultancy centre in Uganda and is ranked high in sub Saharan Africa; commonly known as a one-stop centre for the same in computing and ICT and other related fields. With competent, qualified and motivated staff the Faculty is positioned as the fastest growing Faculty in the region. The number of students applying to join the Faculty, the support from partners in the North and the growing number of collaborations with leading Universities and organizations in the world exhibits this fact. Plans are underway to have CIT transformed into a College of Computing and Internet Technologies by 2008.
